About me
Childhood:Michael's first love was writing, but discovering the video camera AT WHAT AGE??? changed his life. By the end of his teenage years he had made four short films and had led the makeup department for such plays as Frankenstein, Dracula, and McBeth.
Early career:
Michael received a scholarship to Cinema Makeup School in Hollywood, CA in 1998. For the next decade and a half, he worked as a special makeup effect effects artist. He was privileged to work on films such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Passion of the Christ, A Beautiful Mind, and Blade 2.
In 2004 Michael left Los Angeles to open his own special makeup effects and production design studio in Arizona. While in Arizona, he focused increasingly on screenwriting, as well as on directing and producing short films. He collaborated several times with Interwoven Studios in Helena, MT on projects such as Crimson Winter and What Separates Us.
Early in 2012, Michael co-produced his first feature film, The Feed. Soon after, he optioned his first feature length screenplay (the franchise reboot of American Ninja) to Woods/Fury Productions.
Current work:
Michael currently lives in Hollywood, CA, where he spends his time writing and working as a freelance video/ filmmaker.
