To whom it may concern
To express one's creativity. I have been in the arts since a very young age and explain it's my strong suit. I have been in the hair industry for the last 12 years. It has come to my attention that my passion lies beyond the beauty world. This is where the film industry comes into play. I am a film student working towards my bachelors in Directing in film at Los Angeles film school. My willingness to learn and understand the film industry has pointed me to directing. But there are many areas that I'm willing to learn about.
I have learned many life skills and a lot of them are hands-on. Work well with my hands worked well with creative thoughts in the processing. Leadership skills are practiced and created an mold throughout the years it's not given, you work at it. To make it to the top where I want to be one has to start to serve others. It is my goal in the future one has to serve. To understand the industry one must start at the bottom I'm fully willing. My old career as a hairstylist I started as an assistant and it was a long process. But it was worthwhile to create the foundation I need to grow on.
As a hairstylist I always been around the film industry, helping projects doing hair. I find my joy and passion in the film industry and that's why I decide to go back to school. When I started at LA Film School I was unclear on what direction I should study. I have an open heart and an open mind and really listen to my professors and other people within the industry. I was looking at editing, camera-op, directing and even producing. It wasn't until my second or third month that my professor set me down and told me to look into directing. He said as a director you must know how to handle people and learn how to talk to them and to see the project from start to end.
I can see the a script from beginning to end in my mind with all the camera angles as it's played out from me. I learned from my mistakes and I hope to make more so I can learn and be a better person within the film industry and most importantly a better director. But I must learn from other people that's why I'm willing to start from the bottom and work my way to the top and help other people as I go along my travels.
Thank you for taking your time to read my cover letter and my resume
Hope all is well
Severn
