To educate the general population on the subtle differences between relief/aid programs versus empowerment programs.

We are coining the phrase “Charitable Narcissism” within the doc. as a vehicle to create a paradigm shift in people’s ability to help and their desire to make a difference. Sustainable change has been debated for decades in the charity community, as well as the corporate machine finding its way in through giving hearts. Our goal is not to degrade NGO’s that offer aid or relief but to show that an empowering holistic approach is needed when addressing more than just a natural disaster.
