A young blind poet embarks on a journey with her passionate boyfriend to recover her vision and set herself free from her fears.

Michael is deeply in love with his girlfriend Sissi, a young blind poet in search of her identity. Sissi’s painful family background makes her an insecure partner and giving her trust seems to be the hardest thing. Michael’s attempts to build a stable relationship are frustrated by her successive refusals to commit. On a sunny autumn day Michael takes Sissi on a surprise adventure to Coney Island. But fun turns into an argument that pushes Michael to take decisive action to set Sissi free from her fears. He secretly enrolls her in an experimental corneal grafting program. She accepts the hospital’s offer to join the experiment and successfully recovers her vision. Ready to embrace their new life, Michael expects Sissi to be finally his, but the girl has other plans. Until she discovers the price of her freedom…
