I have tried to PM you but I Can't as i am not an employer. I have heard nothing but bad news about this company. If you google search there are many complaints regarding this company and i was chatting last week and a whole group of people have warned me dead against them. I would urge you to forget they contacted you.

As someone who also produces and uses casting sites to find actors I would say steer clear, I have had some dealings with them (2012) not a great experience. Good luck

Thankyou so much for getting in contact Kate and Cally . TBH I thought they were suss ; so annoying :( . Don't worry about the PM thing : I only put that to encourage people to reply without fear of a lack of confidentiality , but if we're all happy to collectively declare more publicly they are crap all the better! Why live in fear of these people ? If they were decent people wouldn't be negative ; simple .

Hi there,

I am actually leaving this company soon.

I have been with them for about 3 months and they haven't got me any work or auditions yet.

They have amazing customer service, I can't fault them on that, but I think they have too many clients on their books to supply as great a service as they need to.

I hope this helps in your decision making.

Hi there,

I too was texted by them today which i thought an odd way to contact anyone professionally.They commented first on my looks and then offered a casting for a job with Scarlett Johansson!? I also wondered how they got my telephone number.?
I think it all looks a bit dodgy and their website looks pretty home made. A lot of the photos were not ones you would normally see and looked unprofessional.
I hope this helps anyone else who has been contacted by them.

I also avoid Casting Quick and Baltic Casting aka BCA and various other permutations (they keep changing email addresses to get through spam filters).

I too have been contacted a few times by them. I had a phone call with them, but wondered why and how they had got my phone number.
But thank you everyone for your posts. I'm just going to avoid them.

Hi there - I attended a work shop that cost £50 it was very generic and the women just looked through and through amateur and dodgy . Just cold calling people to get you to cough up the £50 or have a photo shoot with them. Stay well clear!!!

Seriously, a text message! And what professional sends that text message at 9:30 at night! Ridiculous. Needless to say I will not be available for telephone call and i won't be sending them my email address.

I got exactly the same text today and having read the reviews and also being naturally extremely cautious about unsolicited offers I too will not be contacting them. I am waiting on a call from Equity about 'bdiscovered'.

I will be bringing this to the attention of my local Equity branch at the next meeting and suggest that other members do so too. This group are clearly not behaving professionally and it may need to be investigated properly.

I got that same text message too. Had a feeling it was dodgy but had a look at the website anyway, which just confirmed they were to be avoided. Awful pictures.

I keep getting the message over & over again.....at first I thought id give them the benefit of the doubt and scheduled a chat with them
They tried calling 3 hours late, but my partner forced me to read reviews due to the 'text message' and it confirmed it for me.

Plus I get messages at like 11pm....seriously who even does that.

BD: Can I ask why you're no longer interested please?

ME: I did a background check on your agency and all the reports I found from a variety of sources were advising not to sign. All the agency was interested in was getting a lot of money out of their clients. Also, being contacted by a generic blanket text, which is worded in such a way to sound personal to you, alone, is dodgy to say the least.
Now, for the second time of asking,
DO NOT CONTACT ME AGAIN
or I will take steps to publicise that you are, at least, disreputable if not a scam outfit.

BD: Firstly many reviews are by competitive agencies like all successful business we have competition and the general public and people in general may post what they want about people and companies, consequently they do - other agents are trying to bad mouth us due to our status and the genuine work we have which is top featured work please see http://www.havealook.net/thisweek and photographers also complain about us because we speak out about their behaviour with women, however they all do this as we have the work and we do mean a share of people are envious. Despite your misunderstanding we have taken time to answer we are genuine and are a very large casting house make of it what you may! I was contacted by BDiscovered and to be honest, as soon as I read the text message (and the fact that they contact me via text!) was enough for me to realise that they are nothing more than a Mickey Mouse outfit.

I also checked their website for laughs and WOW, how unprofessional!

To repeat what everyone before me has said: AVOID!

Hi all, I am already represented and happy with my current agent. I checked them out as like so many of us I was curious how they had got my phone number and how the whole text ,as above with the whole iboy Bill Miller stuff, sounded very scam like. I'm going to pass this on to my agent just keep them in the loop and might also speak to Equity as they more of us that question it the better for the industry. I am not against people contacting me and I understand the whole ethos of being a business but from the way everyone seems to be getting generic messages this does not sound professional and that is the part that concerns me.
It's great to have a trustworthy, supportive industry and community here on ccp :-)
