THE CHRISTMAS DUMMIES. *new for 2017. Reg. WGA. Romantic comedy. Low budget or higher. Story is about a young woman who is a sales rep for a large company selling a hot new Xmas item. Setting up a display with mannequins (dummies), at a large department store complex, she has no time at for romance with the workaholic department store manager, during the hectic Xmas season. But as a big storm knocks out power to the department store mall, the
male and female mannequins (Molly and Micky) seem to take on a life of their own, each in
love, but totally unable to express their feelings. Complicating matters, the woman's boss
for the company selling the new product, is making unwelcome sexual advances, and the
woman fears for her job. As the holidays inevitably happen, the courting couple and other
'real life dummies' finally get together at a Xmas party. Now they both have lost their
jobs, but manage to snag free tickets to a vacation in Hawaii, as well as a Harvey
Weinstein-type sex-harrassment lawsuit, and learn that the choice to love is a conscious
one, but only for flesh-and-blood dummies. *available, about 90 pgs. Some stunts and FX.
No CGI, the manniquins are in voice-over scenes only. Very fun and minor 'action',
romantic at Xmas. Female roles. Edgy but not ugly.

ERNIE'S REALLY REAGAN CHRISTMAS: (true story), completed WGA Reg., feature length. In 1985, a group of kids from a California middle-school, wanted to send a gift to the Second Term Inauguration of President Ronald Reagan (still a beloved figure to millions). Together with their passionate teacher, they decide to place a roadside plywood cutout of the school mascot, ('Ernie the Eagle'), out on the highway, with a hitch-hiker's thumb out for a ride to Washington D.C. As truckers, families, travelers, tourists, and others, find the stand-up four-foot model of the eagle, there is a note, 'Take me to Washington D.C.'. Post-cards are attached to be sent back to the school for updates on his progess. Sure enough, ride after ride after ride, the plywood eagle school mascot makes it to D.C. by Christmas of that year. But the teacher working with the kids is in a fearful road-wreck, and almost drowned in a cold mountain river, rescued by a husky Park Ranger, who dives into the rushing waters ten feet to pull her from the car, on her way to a holiday event. True story, with print newspaper clippings. Ronald Reagan is not in the film much at all, except as a background figure, for the January Second Term Inauguration. *Available, some terms needed from original 1987 screenplay. A heart-warming true Ronald Reagan Christmas story. Can't miss, state-of-bliss winner for small feature film-maker.
