September Spectacular!!

Alan Brent
Actor

On 20th September at the Pictureville Cinema, National Media Museum we are holding our Yorkshire Ridings Equity AGM at 10.30AM.
As is usual many film and TV CDs will be there to see the Branch Showreel which celebrates the performances of many of our members and gives a terrific opportunity for actors and scriptwriters to mingle and network.
This SHOW will be the culmination of all of the hard work we as a Branch have put into developing and creating work for actors in Yorkshire and an introduction of new work opportunities in the next twelve months happening in our Area.
Everyone is invited. Memebers of Equity whether full members or student members. Even Non Members are invited (but of course not allowed to vote on any issues).
Graham Hamilton, newly elected President of Equity, will also be there as Guest Speaker, as will film makers and scriptwriters and agents.
This will be my last one in the Chair of the Branch so I'm determined to make it a super spectacular!!
Be there!! You will not regret it!!

I'm sorry but I need to 'bump' this back to the top so that all Yorkshire and Northern based actors can see it.

I've now accumulated some terrific clips for our Branch Showreel with some wonderful script links! Dramatic and comedic edited together in a superb bit of work from Mark Smith of Hi Films. He is a genius!!
A show definitely not to be missed..

Hello Alan

Going out with a bang mate, nice to hear it.Sounds like the cirque de soleil of Equity meetings.
I'll have to keep the whisky in the cellar till we meet.A bus ride to my local pound shop would be like a pleasure trip at the moment i'm so brassic park and i keep kicking the spotlight renewal forms under the printer hehe
Congratulations on everything you've achieved for your branch!

Thank you, Paul. I guess the Credit Crunch strikes again!!
I'll be thinking of all of the members and future members of Equity!!
Actually I'll be in the bar afterwards working on my Seminar for aspiring directors 'Working with Actors' for that afternoon of the Bite The Mango Festival at the Media Museum!
Got to stay sober...got to stay sober...got to stay sober...

After our big show in the morning I have been asked to do a seminar in the afternoon along the lines of 'Breaking in to Film' and the importance of Equity in relation to working actors.
All attendees will be able to get into the AGM free of charge.
With a terrific buffet this has got to be the 'Gig of the Year'!!
See you there!

The Lord Mayor of Bradford will be attending our meeting.
This goes to show how important they see the work our Branch has become.
I'm sure other Branches could take a leaf out of our book and promote the effort they are making to improve the work and quality of production throughout the country. If only you could gert your fingers out and get on with it!!

Only two days to go to this exceptional show. I hope all of you, members or not, will be planning to arrive at the Media Museum ready for a fantastic display of entertainment and positive outlook in these days of 'Doom and Gloom'.
We certainly are looking forward to the future of film and tlevision production in Yorkshire and casting people, agents and film directors will be in great numbers in the audience. Though I suspect that one of the biggest 'draws' for the actors will be the buffet afterwards!!
I will be happy to welcome you all!
