The next meeting of the Yorkshire Ridings General Branch is on Saturday 16th Feb at 11am at the Northern Film School, Electric Press Building, Millennium Square, Leeds.
All actors from Yorkshire and Humberside are welcome and there is generally a great turn out so there is plenty of opportunity to meet and network with others in the Business.
Notice of all the future development ideas for assisting members of Equity in our Area to improve their work prospects and news about events will be available.
We look forward to seeing new and 'old' faces in the place.

My personal thanks for the sterling efforts of Alan last week, in exposing an agency scam in Hull over the weekend; and setting up an hourly scam alert on Friday and Saturday, in conjunction with local radio station 'Viking FM'.

Of course you're welcoome to drop in. If you can please get there before 11am (about 10.45am is best) we can let you in to the building. Anyone arriving later has to ring my mobile and our 'door person' has to come down 2 flights to let you in then!
We welcome all. Students, visitors, potential members. They aren't allowed to vote in the debates but will learn a lot about the Union and what we're doing in Yorkshire. After the meeting the Reading Group will be branching off to read a new work from one of our members. The rest of us will be in the Revolution Bar below the meeting room!

Since you live in Manchester it would be a better idea to contact your local branch of Equity. David Corden is your chairman over there. Get in touch with Jamie Brier at Equity's office in Blackfriars Street and he will give you details of the branch meetings.

After the meeting on Saturday there will be an open reading of the script of a new TV pilot. Anyone who attends will be invited to read a part.
For security purposes only those who come to the meeting will be allowed to read because once we are in the building we cannot be constantly letting peple in and out.
Also our resident fight director, Richard Brighton from the Royal Armouries, will be doing a short class with sword, gun and hand to hand as a 'taster' for his classes which he will be running in Leeds.
