Yorkshire Ridings meeting on 19th April
Once again we have great news for people who are planning to attend the meeting on Saturday. After the meeting we will be holding two different events. There will be a meeting of the Professional play reading group (improving sight reading and working new scripts) AND a fight class working with bottles and fire arms for film and TV.
The first one costs only £1 the second is £20 to cover the cost of the broken bottles and the instructor (Richard Brighton from the Royal Armouries).
All members of Equity are welcome either full members or Student Members.
As usual the meeting will begin at 11am at the Leeds Met Film School, Millennium Square, Leeds.
Because of the security situation there please be a few minutes early to gain entry so we can start on time.
The classes begin straight after the meeting so bring a sandwich and a bottle of water! There are already seven people booked on the fight class. Maximum is ten. To book a place please PM me.

If I lived nearer to Leeds I would definitely be there for the play readings.

Thanks for that, Tracey. We have established our own Rep Group who read professionally written plays for playwrights who want to hear their words out loud. They pay a small fee for this which often goes into Branch funds for funding other training schemes for the members e.g. the Fight Classes and Acting to Camera Classes.
We also have our own online discussion group like this green room but specifically for Equity members living in Yorkshire. It speeds up the dissemination of local information for the benefit of those who live too far away to get to meetings or have to work on meeting days. This way we get their input and their views. We have a thriving branch because of it!
See you at the ARC! And, if there is any justice and real democracy, on Council too.
To attend the fight class or the professional reading group, Equity members (full or student) will need to be at the meeting prior to the events.
