i;m currently in arizona
i do all kind of makeup
i would like to ask how i can start my career here
and need all the steps that i have to work on
As Shaunda said: networking is one way, you can network at a Make up artist conventions, Film Festivals, on Social Media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Model Mayhem, ect.)
Keep producing work and sharing it - weather you work at a theater, salon, counter, production studio, bts (behind the scenes photos are important). Volunteer your time for a good cause (48 hour film competitions, Marry's Place, ect).
Start a website and get business cards - this is very important in not just networking but showing your future clientele your serious. Involve your self if an opportunity arises, be the best that you can be and always have a great attitude (people remember and like to work with fantastic personality, and will recommend you to there colleges.
Be presentable (this dose not mean big black cat eye or hot leather pants with doc's) but feel out the clientele you want to work with and dress accordingly, not that hot leather pants, eyeliner ,or docs are bad because they are no... I own and wear all these things I just use judgment on when too.
