Theatre company Room For Pudding are holding a script reading event April 24th 7-9pm in the Tristan Bates theatre at The Actors Centre.
We are currently accepting the last submissions from writers wishing to be involved in the event, and also from those wishing to spectate and offer their opinion in discussion.
Each writer will have a ten minute excerpt presented to an audience of industry professionals by professional actors and will receive feedback from our expert panel as well the opportunity to discuss audience members' reactions.
As a writer you can use this opportunity to try out alternative endings, develop characters, discuss any creative blocks you have with your work and most of all get your work seen and heard.
As a spectator, take this opportunity to hear the newest pieces of work available, view a large quantity of actors performing in a small space of time for potential casting, and to generally meet and mingle with others in the industry, writers, directors, other actors and of course the members of Room For Pudding.
There will be opportunity for informal drinking in the bar afterwards until 11:00pm.
Room For Pudding are essentially hoping to find a piece from this event which they can go on to produce in full using their current artistic director and selecting actors from their core ensemble.
