Our Mass Media Company seeks an Art Assistant to work within the Creative Group, supporting our brands in the food content division. The ideal candidate will have some experience in design, be highly organized, pleasant to work with, and passionate about food. This role will combine work across all digital platforms and print.This role will report to the Creative Director of FIG and is based in New York City. (This position will start remotely until we are back in-office in NYC.)Responsibilities may include:Design print layouts for monthly pages and columns.Design digital assets for web and social team needs and any other brand art needs.Commission illustrations and communicate with illustrators to maintain project schedules.Collaborate with editorial, production, and photo departments.Executive creative team’s administrative tasks include:Create and process Illustrator Invoices, SOWs, and Contracts.Compile Addresses for Contributor Comp List for Print Mag each month.Manage Illustration budget for Print and Web.Assist in onboarding new employees and freelancers with hardware, software, servers, etc.Organize and file SPD submissions.File Creative Director’s Expense Reports.Schedule art department meetings.Compile PDFs for meetings.Mail/messenger props, magazines, etc.Cut and prep layouts for art reviews.Keep wall updated.Coordinate with Creative Group Admin for meetings, announcements.Help conduct photo research and work as production assistant on photoshoots when needed.Ensure FIG branding and design standards are maintained across internal and external presentations.
