Our News Station in Salt Lake City, UT, is seeking a Senior Digital Director to join its team. The Senior Digital Director organizes, writes, and edits content on digital platforms with a focus on all Scripps local news websites, mobile apps, OTT and social media platforms. Has responsibility for a niche specialty such as video or data visualization.WHAT YOU'LL DO:Write, edit, publish and manage content on multiple digital platforms, including the station's local website, mobile, OTT channel and social networks.Assign stories and other projects to other digital content producersUndertake special projects utilizing digital tools to create full experience apart from on-air presentation.Work inside backend OTT systems to program informative and entertaining content to FOX 13’s OTT channel.Assist in development of digital-only programming involving station reporters and digital staff.Deliver compelling content using current production and web-delivery tools. Optimize the user experience by being attentive to live web metrics and user experience best practices. May be responsible for cataloguing and organizing archived contentCreate content that is aligned with and enhances the brand; enhance content with outside links, maps, slideshowsMay update and interact with fans/followers on social media.Coordinate with editorial and technical staff to facilitate the migration of multimedia content to new media platforms, including video, audio, still photos and graphics.Assist in online coverage of major news event, breaking news and severe weather to ensure high quality consistent community coverage online.Build out special sections and site features to enhance coverage and increase user engagement.Work with other departments, including sales and marketing, as needed on site and/or station initiatives that require content integration
