DESCRIPTION of POSITION DETAILS: The Youth Cinema Project is a project-based program that teaches film to children and teens in the classrooms of public schools.YCP Mentors teach 90-minute film classes, twice a week, during regular school hours. The curriculum is provided. Mentors can expect to teach 7 - 21 hours a week and teach at all times with a co-mentor. Classes range from 4th-12th grade and mentors guide students through the entire filmmaking process for the duration of the school year. The first trimester is focused on writing and development, the second trimester focuses on pre-production and production, and the last trimester on post.
