    Role & Responsibilities:We are looking for a Sr Program Manager to implement and manage music licensing payment processes for a stealth project. Working with the Monetization lead, Finance, Accounting, Operations, and Product, you will build processes and help develop tools from scratch. Your work will have a direct impact on our customers, including artists and other talent, music labels, and publishers.The ideal candidate has knowledge of the music label and publishing landscape and is able to manage complex workflows, as well as financial reporting processes. You must have an operational and analytical mindset and to work cross-functionally and influence at all levels of the organization while interfacing and delivering results to external customers.Because we’re building a new team from scratch, this role will evolve throughout the years and the ideal candidate embraces change, thrives in ambiguous roles, and consistently looks for opportunities to invent and simplify.In this role, you will:· Own royalties calculations, operational workflows, and payment execution for music labels and publishers· Drive strategy for developing workflows around licensor data tracking and exchange, partner onboarding and reporting, and responding to inquiries· Develop a solid understanding of Amazon’s Finance Operations systems and processes· Dive deep into the label and publishing landscape to understand financial relationships, music rights, and associated monetary inflows/outflows· Design transactional monetization and payment workflows, working with Finance, Legal, Accounting, and Tax to find solutions that work for Amazon’s internal financial teams and our external artist/talent customers· Establish timely reporting and metrics reviews for internal financial teams and external label and publisher customers· Work closely with Product & Engineering to bring automation and scale to operational processesBASIC QUALIFICATIONS· 5+ years of experience in program or project management· Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements· Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership· Bachelor’s degree· 5+ years of program or product management with a focus on operations· 2+ years of experience working with the entertainment/media/music industry, preferably at a music publisher, record label, digital music platform, or collection society· Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior management· Expertise in creating processes for financial and/or accounting operations· Experience defining and executing against program timeline & requirements· Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams· Experience with SQL, Tableau, and other analytics platforms· Data-driven decision making and quantitative analysis skills· Openness to ambiguous situations that require a strong sense of ownership, drive, independence, and flexibilityPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS· Experience with music reporting operations and/or rights management at a music publisher, record label, digital music platform, or collection society· Advanced knowledge of copyright and music licensing practices· Entrepreneurial or startup experience, with a track record for delivering results in fast-moving and demanding environments· Experience working at a large company with complex financial operations and patience for learning and navigating these systems· Experience working effectively across functional teams and partnering with cross-functional teams like Product & Engineering to drive product development and technical operations· BS/BA· Demonstrated success in delivering results in a fast-paced, rapid-growth environment
