Our Historian & Videographer gather historical stories, pictures, articles, videos to create a library of the past and will record and edit live videos for live events, social media posts, and The Extension website to increase our community awareness and help The Extension tell our story to the community. The focus of this position will be to record and edit different aspects of our capital campaign and the construction of our new building as well as our historical growth and achievements. Our ideal candidate has experience using video editing software, and enjoys presenting complete, polished projects. We will use these videos on social media for the promotion of the project to raise awareness and support for The Extension in transforming the lives of the homeless and addicted in Cobb County. As a result of the VISTA member’s service, these videos will increase recognition and draw support for a growing number of individuals who will move from rock bottom to employed, sheltered, and healthy.Member Duties : Review current processes, research best practices and propose new systems and processes in audio visual and tangible historical information storage. Gather, organize and create a system of maintenance for historical pictures, articles and changes over The Extension’s growth. Interview the Executive Director and recording the intangible changes and memories of his 3 decades Record and edit videos of the construction of our new building and post on the website, social media, and YouTube channel Gather, organize and create a system of maintenance for historical pictures, articles and changes over the new building groundbreaking, construction and plans for opening the new facility. Work with Extension staff to research current trends in the industry and create a library and system of maintenance and planning.
