The Quality Assurance Editor carries out quality assurance efforts for a variety of digital content for magazines from our Media Company's portfolio. The Quality Assurance Editor will work closely with QA team members, developers, and other stakeholders. They will be responsible for developing and executing thorough testing approaches to ensure digital deliverables contain error-free content that renders and functions correctly across a range of desktop and mobile platforms. The Quality Assurance Editor produces high quality work in a fast-past environment, often with short turnaround times – and helps other QA team members do the same. This person must work well in a collaborative environment but also able to handle tasks on their own.II. Essential Job FunctionsCopyedit and proofread content to ensure proper spelling, grammar, style and tone.Ensure adherence to brand style guides for technical consistency in capitalization, font usage, numerals and hyphenation.Test linked content and interactives for functionality.Assist with correcting content using basic HTML and WYSIWYG editors.Work closely with developers and other internal teams to resolve technical content/application issues.Work closely with technical teams to optimize production tools and capabilities to meet publishing deadlines.Clearly and concisely document change requests in a bug-tracking system (such as JIRA and/or google docs). Prioritize change requests based on project needs.Implement and execution of tests and other QA measures that lead to error-free deliverables.Assists in developing metrics to measure both quality and productivity.Responsible for successful completion of assigned tasks to ensure publication deadlines are met.Assist with content reviews with editorial and content teams.Assist to develop and maintain testing procedures for new digital platform releases.Write documentation to describe application evaluation, testing and problems identified for resolution.May conduct meetings for purposes of presentations, reviews, approvals, etc
