Our News Station in Charlotte, NC is searching for a studio technician for the news production team. This is a part-time position within the News department. Daily activities include teleprompter operation, robotic camera operation, studio preparation/organization and performing technical checks daily.  Effective October 1, 2021, all newly hired CMG employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to their start date. Key Daily Assignments:  Operating robotic cameras and teleprompter on newscasts, sports shows and other News department-related content  Acting as floor director during live broadcasts and taped segments while operating studio cameras  Ensuring lights and robotic cameras are operational and replacing batteries in anchor mics and IFBs. Making sure the studio is ready.  Micing guests for interview segments  Reviewing upcoming newscast rundowns for camera blocking, mic and IFB assignments and working with directors to sort out any issues  Other duties assigned as needed
