    The RSC is looking for an experienced Administration Assistant to join the Literary Department in our London office on New Oxford Street. It is a part-time, fixed term contract until 1 April 2021.As Literary Administrator, you will be reporting directly to the Literary Manager, where your responsibilities will include providing high quality, day-to-day administrative support, which is responsive to the department needs and contributes to smooth and efficient operations.The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with experience of providing first-class administration support to a busy department. We are looking for someone who is very organised, able to prioritise effectively and deliver a value-added administration service to the department. Due to the nature of the work, exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy are essential attributes for this role, together with an interest in theatre or the desire to find out more about working in an arts organisation.Duties and responsibilities include:Managing and updating the complex team diaries using MS OutlookCoordinating meetings, arranging travel, transport and accommodation.Preparing, formatting and printing scrips, arranging delivery of scripts for rehearsalMonitoring and responding to emails and telephone calls coming into the departmentProcessing financial administration, for example, expenses, invoices, credit card transactions and raising purchase ordersBooking workshop space, organising and printing scripts, organising logistics for artists, booking transport,Researching and resourcing workshop materials, resourcing props and costumeYou will be experienced at working as part of a team, able to adapt and be flexible, have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be a competent user of Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel and Outlook.You will be joining a small, vibrant team where your contribution to the smooth running of the department will be vital and valued.This is a part time, fixed term position for 2 years, where you will work 21 hours a week. These hours will amount to 3 days per week, although the exact working pattern is not fixed and we are very happy to consider flexible working hours to suit the right candidate's needs.
