Casting "Superpredator," a documentary.
Production states: "This is a crime documentary that was shot for 3 years. It follows a criminal case and a life sentence that produced a law allowing children to be transferred directly into adult court if the crime was heinous enough. This law has recently been found unconstitutional and has been redacted, but the individual who had sparked the change to the American judicial system is still in prison for a life sentence, as well as for a crime he potentially did not commit.
I am looking for an editor who has an understanding of documentary format editing style and story telling. The role can be remote but would require zoom calls to get on the same page. The position can be opened up to a producing credit upon interest as I am looking for someone to really throw themselves into this, read a book that was written on the case, and communicate openly with me about any footage or dialogue that has not been shot that would benefit the film. I have all necessary footage but am looking to get a couple more interviews in the spring. There is no re-enactment footage. I am hoping to take what I have and put it into a cohesive story, to then put into the festival route. This will most likely end up being a short feature film. I would mail footage/audio to the editor to start."
