Inira Films is a Black female-owned video and communication company based in Philadelphia that humanizes marginalized groups. We make films from first-hand experiences and write and produce content for nonprofits fighting for oppressed communities.

We are looking for a Graphic Designer - please read the requirements before applying. We are looking for someone very specific. You must include the requested materials to be considered.

The Graphic Designer role has 2 main components:

1. Work with our company's Director to design our logo, fonts, color scheme, graphic elements, and website layout.

2. Create social media and email marketing graphics for our docu-series, and other clients as requested.

Requirements:

Prior experience as an independent contractorAt least one year of professional experience using Adobe Photoshop and IllustratorExperience in designing website layoutsAble to manage multiple projects simultaneously while mastering directionsExceptional problem-prevention, problem-solving, and time management skillsProficient at synthesizing information to produce compelling designsExcellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing



Responsibilities Expanded:

Conceptualize and design the brand identity, including a logo, color palette, font, and layoutsDevelop a layout for the website that aligns with the company’s brand and goalsDesign social media and email campaign graphics for our docu-series, “What is a Black Man?” based on the elements included in the film’s style guideContinue the layout development for the “What is a Black Man?” websiteCollaborate with Director to develop photography shot listsCreate brand identities and graphic assets for clients as requested

This is a contracted position on a per-project basis. We will contract you part-time for six-months, with the potential for an extension if there is a mutual desire to on both ends. Compensation to be negotiated with the Director.
