    This fast-paced role leads the strategy for our storytelling and communications via the College’s main social media platforms and student blog, which are critical communication channels to reach prospective students/families and alumni/donors, to support enrollment and advancement goals. This role requires strong writing and storytelling skills and ability to maximize opportunities using digital channels, including:• Innovative use of the College’s social media platforms, including creating and/or guiding creation of social media posts, including strong visuals, both for native and paid campaigns• Developing the creative concept for and managing production of videos showcasing the Nazareth student experience• Managing and training the student ambassador team who writes for the blog and provides content for social media channels• Social media listening and responding, for crisis management and to provide excellent customer service to key constituencies• Driving audiences to calls to action, including to Nazareth webpages• Guiding other departments to develop strategies, where appropriate, to use social media effectively as a recruitment tool and distribution channel; this work includes recommending closing accounts that aren’t effectively supporting goalsThis role works with all levels of management, staff, faculty, and students.Essential Functions Innovate and create new ways to use social media platforms to tell stories and have a dialogue with the College’s key constituents. This includes beginning and moderating conversations in the online community; listening for opportunities and needs to respond; collecting, monitoring and distributing social media metrics; and developing best practices and action items from data. (40%)In collaboration with the digital analyst, plans and executes paid social media campaigns, including content and budget spend and allocation. (20%)Plan and execute high-level, strategic videography and multimedia post-production for the College. Duties include working with our videographer, freelance videographers, or media services to plan, manage, oversee production, post-production, and delivery of content. Package user-generated photos and videos online in ways that are journalistically solid but highly shareable. (10%)Create social media campaigns, execute pieces of integrated campaigns on social, and leverage social channels for prospective student audience. (10%)Train and manage the social media student team — student workers who provide content for the Naz student blog and for strategic social media channels (such as Instagram), to support Nazareth goals and contribute to the students’ career development. (10%)Work with other departments to develop strategies to use social media as a recruitment tool and distribution channel. Ensure social platforms are updated with timely information and content. (5%)Member of the College’s crisis communications team, providing counsel on public and media relations. (5%)Other duties as assigned
