    Dramatic Hat Productions is holding auditions for its upcoming production of “Mercury Man : the Last Performance of Orson Welles,” a new play by Joel Pettigrew making its debut at the Winnipeg Fringe Festival this July 18-29.We will be rehearsing in Toronto Ontario throughout April -July, the bulk of the rehearsals will be in May and June. We will be traveling to Winnipeg on or about July 15th, returning to Toronto around the 30th. Dramatic Hat Productions will be covering the cost of travel to and from and Accommodations in Winnipeg for all performers.SynopsisHollywood, 1985. While recording his last ever film role - the voice of a cartoon robot planet - Orson Welles meets his “Biggest Fan,” and recounts tales of his early successes in film, theatre and radio, the aftermath of making the greatest movie of all time, and all that must be sacrificed in order to do what you were made for. Auditions will take place from 11 AM – 6 PM on Monday March 26th 2018,at 118 Balliol Street in the Party Room on the Main Floor to the right of the front desk when you enter the building. We are currently casting the following roles:JOHN HOUSEMAN – Male. Any Ethnicity. Mid 20's to late 30’s. Welles’s long-time business partner, with whom his relationship witheventually sours. Pragmatic though artistic, stubborn, a troubleshooter. Speaks withMid-Atlantic English accent. (This performer will also play the smaller roles ofNEWSREELER, ACTOR, and JOHNNY)GEORGIE   Male or Female. 18-30. Any ethnicity. An Aspiring Filmmaker and Welles’ “Biggest Fan.” Nostalgic, idealistic, eager.
