About me
I am a classical and operatic baritone. I started singing at age 10 in Finchley Children's Music Group in London, sang in the Choir of Clare College in Cambridge (1996-9), and am now a freelance professional singer working in and around London.I am open to any singing work at all, but am most experienced in:
- Opera/operetta, both in the chorus and as a principal
- Concert singing with piano or orchestra, as a chorus member or soloist
- Recitals (voice and piano only)
- Liturgical singing in churches and synagogues for wedding, baptisms, funerals, memorial services, Bar Mitzvahs etc.
- Film/TV/commercial recording

Additional information:
Gabriel studied Music at Cambridge University and Singing at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. Recent concert work includes Bach's B Minor Mass with the Armonico Consort in Warwick and Malvern, a disc of Christmas Music for Oxford University Press, and 'Messiah' with the Hanover Band. He sings regularly with the BBC Singers, Monteverdi Choir, Gabrieli Consort, Armonico Consort, and Philharmonia Voices.
Roles include Figaro in 'The Barber of Seville' for Opera Loki, Enrico in 'Lucia di Lammermoor' for Pavilion Opera; Schaunard in 'La Bohème' for Park Opera; Bartolo in 'The Barber of Seville' for Surrey Opera; Olin Blitch in 'Susannah' (Carlisle Floyd) with Hampstead Garden Opera; Papageno in 'The Magic Flute' with Guildford Opera; and Marco in 'Gianni Schicchi' for Hand Made Opera.
He has sung with the Royal Opera House chorus for 'Götterdämmerung', 'Robert le Diable' (Meyerbeer), 'Les Troyens', 'Macbeth', 'Tannhäuser', 'The Tsar's Bride', 'Der Fliegende Holländer' and 'Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg'.
