About me
I have recently retired from a demanding job in the NHS. I am married with 3 children who have all left home, to pursue their own careers. I have been passionate about my role within the NHS. Now that I have retired I feel I still have much to offer. One of my strengths whilst working was in communicating and presentations. One area of my work was within the remit of teenage pregnancy, this was challanging work, and required good communication skills.Acting experience:
In local amateur productions. recently I played Golda in Fiddler on the Roof
Mrs Bedwin in Oliver.
Dorothy Brock in 42nd Street
Mrs Blitztein in Blitz
various charactors and chorus in Pajama Game, Annie,
My fair Lady. and prevoius shows.
Unpaid work in a filmed documentary on Alastair Crowley. and a Rick Wakeman show.
Dancing experience:
very little. Although I love it.
Dancing in my local amateur dramatic musical society.
Singing experience:
I have sung all my life, not professionaly, although I sang on backing tracks of my brothers records in the 60s when he was a rock musician.
currently I sing in a local choir, and for my 'am dram" groups. I usually sing solos, I also sing at weddings with a small group. my voice range is alto to mezo soprano, I have never had voice training, and although I can sight read slightly, I have never been taught.
Television experience:
Extra work for Midsomer Murders
Filming for an art installation project
Specific skills:
I have a clear voice and can project, In music I can hold a harmony line.
Interesting past experiences:
I sang as part of a community choir in a professional production of the "Caucasian chalk circle" with "Shared experience" at Richmond Theatre and The Unicorn Theatre in London in 2009.
An extra in a professional production of "Whistle down the Wind" at Woking Theatre
My interests:
Singing has always been a main interest, I also sing and perform in a local amateur dramatic musical society.
I swim several times a week, enjoy aquarobics, and dancing.
